Zincolivenite, Tsumeb Mine, Namibia RARE!
Nice gemmy Zincolivenite crystals showing and secondary association with Mottramite. There are a few sheared crystals which present a very interesting internal zonation.
The final phase of Zincolivenite mineralization deposited an adamantine, translucent teal-green coating over more opaque cores for an intriguing visual effect.
While small, this TN sparkles nicely and has great color contrast of the green crystallization upon red-brown groundmass.
Sourced directly from notable Tsumeb collector Clive Queit almost forty years ago and has remained uncirculated in a private collection ever since.
Mr. Queit would wait for the miners at the mine exit during shift change to acquire the choicest pieces.
