Vintage scientific instruments galvanometer Leeds& Northrup Co. Serial #187974
We are pleased to be sable to offer for your consideration this vintage piece of test equipment.
This Galvanometer ((model #2194) was manufactured by Leeds & Northrup Co., we estimate, between 1930 and 1940.
It is in very nice aesthetic condition, but we do not know if it still functions. Fortunately it looks to be complete, even the frosted glass panel is still in place. We have seen similar units offered without this part. The inside cover lamp instruction panel is still intact and in place. We even found a document inside that looks like it had paid a visit to a metrology dept for calibration.
Condition- The only thing that needs attention drawn too, is a slight cupping/warping of the lid. But otherwise the cabinet construction is quite nice.
If you are a collector of antique/vintage American made testing equipment, this Galvanometer will make a pretty nice addition to any collection.
